Assistant Director of Admission Events and Orientation - Lenoir-Rhyne University

The assistant director of admission events and orientation is an integral member of the Office of Admission and is responsible for the planning, execution and management of all admission events and campus visits for all prospective students at Lenoir-Rhyne University. This individual will be deeply involved in vision setting and implementation for the Lenoir-Rhyne visit experience, including new student orientation.  Campus visits and admission events set the stage for a prospective student’s involvement with Lenoir-Rhyne and make a profound impact on a student’s decision to attend LR, so a positive experience on campus is critical. 

The assistant director of admission events and orientation must be highly organized and detail-oriented. Strong communication skills are crucial, as this individual will interact with a variety of campus and community partners. The assistant director will also be responsible for writing and creating email and print content related to admission events, campus visits and new student orientation.

The assistant director should have supervisory experience and be able to apply that experience toward overseeing a team of graduate assistants, orientation leaders and student ambassadors (Bears of Distinction).
